Let's Get Quizzical - Cardiff Waterside holds another popular quiz!
Cardiff Waterside held one of their popular quizzes on Thursday 13th August at 1pm in their brand new building, 3 Assembly Square. In honour of the building’s fantastic green credentials and BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating the quiz had an Environmental theme.
Each person was asked to pay a £2 entry fee which went directly to Cardiff Waterside’s two nominated charities for 2009 – Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre (see website) and the RNLI at Penarth (RNLI website). In return for their money competitors received a delicious buffet lunch provided (at a discount due to the fact that it was for charity) by the Business Lunch Company (see website) and had the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes.
Quizmaster Rhian Bailey said, “We were very pleased to see some new faces along with all the familiar ones and are hopeful that those who came for the first time will come back for the next quiz.”
New Law won the quiz with 67 points and went away with an Eco Button (click here for more details) each and a Fair Trade Hamper containing Tea, Coffee, Drinking Chocolate, Cake and Chocolate. Previous champions BMA Wales Cymru were pipped to the post by half a point and are sure to be out to regain their title at the next quiz!
